Listed are some of our very own Deutz Heritage Farm recipes featuring our pork, beef, chicken and home grown fruits, veggies and eggs.
Deutz Heritage Fresh Ham Roast
Thawed or frozen fresh ham roast.
Place in crock pot
Season with salt and pepper and seasoned salt
1-2 clove (fresh) garlic minced or 1-T minced garlic (jar)
1 -2 T fresh or dried rosemary
1-2 T Fresh or dried basil
2 Bay leaves
1 cut onion (any color will do)
3-4 T BBQ sauce
1/2 can coke (optional)
Cover crock pot. Cook 4-8 hours thawed or frozen. If cooking 8 hours place on low. If cooking 4 hours place on high.
Shred when done and serve with fresh applesauce, garlic mashed potatoes and veggie.
Gravy
Strain juices from roast
Put in sauce pan on med heat
Take 2-3T out and mix well with 1T flour.
Once mixed pour back into sauce pan and whisk until thick.
Add flour as needed a little at a time
Serve with meat and mashed potatoes

Deutz Heritage Mini Meat Loaf
Pre heat oven to 350
1-lb Deutz Heritage Farm ground beef
1-lb Deutz Heritage Farm ground pork
1 egg
2-3 T ketchup
1 T mustard
1/4 c bread crumbs
Seasoned or regular salt
Pepper
Splash of Worcestershire sauce
Bacon
Muffin Tins (paper optional)
Line muffin tins. Mix ground beef, ground pork, egg, ketchup, mustard, bread crumbs, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce together. Mix well. Use spoon or ice cream scoop to portion into muffin tin, cut bacon, place bacon on top of mini loaf and bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes, take out of oven, let cool. Serve with fresh veggies from your garden or local farmers market.

Deutz Heritage Breakfast Burritos
1 lb Deutz Heritage Farm Breakfast Sausage
1 egg per person
1-2 c Hash browns
1 (15 ounce) can Pinto, refried or Black
Butter for cooking hash browns and eggs
Large or Small flour tortillas
1-2 cups sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
1-2 tomatoes diced
1 (4 ounce) can diced green Chiles
Sour cream optional
Brown breakfast sausage in skillet. In another skillet brown hash browns, scramble eggs in pan/skillet, heat beans in pan. On a flour tortilla, combine sausage, egg, hash browns, beans, and chile, top with shredded cheese and tomato. Roll up burrito and enjoy
Don’t have tortillas. No worries this also makes for awesome breakfast nachos.
